The February Trespa Third Thursday program on Local Law 84 & 87 covers the impact of the rules on all New York City buildings over 50,000 square feet. Buildings must benchmark their energy usage and undertake audits and retro-commissioning studies. Attendees to the program will learn about legal compliance, the benefits of benchmarking, energy conservation measures (ECMs), and the financial incentives of the retro-commissioning approach.
Speakers:
Don Kasper is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Steven Winter Associates, Inc., Commercial Building Group. Mr. Kasper specializes in energy audits of commercial buildings, industrial facilities as well as multifamily buildings. He works closely with contractors, property owners and managers, facility engineers and building staff to reduce energy use through the implementation of energy conservation measures and operations techniques.
Erica Brabon is a Senior Consultant at Steven Winters Associates, Inc., Multifamily Building Group. Ms. Brabon is experienced in energy efficiency in multifamily and commercial buildings, development of curriculum, and training in energy-efficiency practices. Ms. Brabon is currently working with multifamily buildings across New York and New Jersey to cut energy consumption and increase building performance and indoor air quality. She is a BPI Certified Multifamily Building Analyst and a LEED AP O+M.
The course provides (1.5) AIA HSW credit.
